Our Company

A Local Partner for the Long Walk Into AI

Pintar Nusa was set up in Kuching specifically for small businesses across Sarawak who want thoughtful, unhurried guidance — not a fast sale.

Our Story

Started in Kuching, Built for Sarawak

Pintar Nusa began when its founders noticed a gap. Large technology consultancies were offering AI services, but mostly to corporations with dedicated IT departments. Small business owners in Kuching — a kedai runcit, a small trading firm, a family logistics company — had little guidance that was written for them and priced within reach.

The name Pintar Nusa reflects that intention. Pintar means clever or capable in Malay; Nusa carries a sense of island and place. Together they speak to local capability — smart thinking rooted in this part of the world.

We keep our work unhurried on purpose. Adopting a new tool in a small business takes more than installation — it takes time for a team to build trust in something new. Our role is to sit alongside you through that process, not to hand you a manual and move on.

Our Mission

To make the practical benefits of AI tools accessible to small businesses in Sarawak — through honest advice, clear language, and steady support that matches the pace of real work.

Our Approach

We begin by listening. Every engagement starts with understanding how a business works before suggesting anything. We avoid complexity for its own sake and favour tools your team can use independently after a short handover.

Our Values

  • Honesty over salesmanship
  • Patience over speed
  • Local knowledge over generic templates
  • Simplicity over technical complexity

The Team

People You Will Actually Work With

We stay small so every client has a consistent point of contact, not a rotating roster of consultants.

SL

How We Work

Standards We Hold Ourselves To

Written Summaries After Every Session

Every client receives a clear written record of what was discussed and any suggested next steps — in plain language, not consultant-speak.

Confidentiality as Default

Business information shared with us is kept confidential. We do not discuss client details with other clients or use examples from your operations without permission.

Honest Assessment Over Sales

If we assess that AI tools are not a good fit for a business at this time, we say so clearly. A Starting Point Review is worth more to a client when it gives an honest picture.

Tested Tools Only

We only suggest tools that we have worked with personally and that have a stable track record. We do not recommend products we cannot stand behind.

Staff Included, Not Bypassed

During Workflow Integration Support, the people who will use a tool are part of its setup. Staff input shapes what we configure and how we document it.

Flexible Scope, No Lock-In

Ongoing arrangements can be paused, scaled back, or ended with reasonable notice. We discuss terms openly before any engagement begins.

Expertise & Context

AI Consulting That Fits the Sarawak Business Landscape

The business environment in Kuching and across Sarawak has its own character. Many owners run tight, multi-role operations where time is the scarcest resource. A new tool that requires significant learning or ongoing technical management often creates more difficulty than it removes. Pintar Nusa was built around that reality.

Our consulting draws on direct experience with workflow tools, document-handling software, and AI writing assistants that have been adopted successfully by non-technical teams in Malaysia. We understand which tools tend to cause friction and which ones settle quietly into a team's routine. That judgement shapes every recommendation we make.

We pay particular attention to how instructions and reference materials are written. A tool that a team member can follow from a one-page guide is more durable than one that depends on someone remembering what was demonstrated. Our integration work always ends with written materials your team can return to independently.

For business owners in the Comprehensive Support Journey, we act as a continuing resource — someone familiar with your business who can field questions, notice when a tool is no longer the right fit, and suggest adjustments without overhauling everything. That relationship is built over months, not established in a single meeting.
